  • Whole Bean

Whole bean coffee is sold in its bean form, allowing you to grind it manually at home. With whole bean coffee, your coffee will stay fresher for longer and maintain more of its natural aromas. To brew whole bean coffee, you will need a grinder and a coffee brewer, such as a cafetiere.

  • Espresso

Espresso is a concentrated type of coffee drink with Italian origins. Prepared from the same coffee beans as regular coffee, it’s preparation that differentiates espresso from regular coffee. Espresso features bold and concentrated coffee flavours and a velvety texture that are achieved through brewing under high pressure, typically 9 bars.

  • Filter / Cafetière

A cafetière is a heatproof jug, typically made of glass, with a strainer attached to the lid. Once the coffee has brewed, you plunge the strainer to the bottom to separate the spent coffee grounds from the coffee, leaving your perfectly brewed coffee to pour from the spout and the grounds remain secured in the base.

Our Story

My passion for coffee started in 2004 on a trip to France. I ordered a coffee from a small back street cafe, and I was blown away by the taste, I’ve had thousands of cups of coffee in my life but none as good as this. I asked the waiter why it tasted so different, and he told me that they roasted their own beans on the premises and imported speciality coffees from all over the world, and the one I had that day was from Indonesia, no wonder the place was so busy! I didn’t realise that coffee could taste this good, it was like a totally different drink, extremely smooth, a velvety crema and the beans had just been roasted that day.

That same year, after saving for months, I bought my very own coffee roaster, I bought some speciality raw green coffee beans and I was hooked. The taste is like nothing else, high quality, fresh roasted coffee beans is a totally different experience.

I started to make them and selling to family and friends, and a B&B in Northumberland exclusively used my beans and now nearly 20 years later I have grabbed the opportunity to jump into our own coffee company along with my good friend and old work colleague, who has the same passion for great coffee, and to give the best customer experiences.

I was born and raised in South Shields, went to Junior & Senior Schools there, got my first job in King Street South Shields and currently live in this great town that I love and have the greatest memories of. I have two amazing children that are all grown up now and a wonderful partner, and now I want to share my love of the best coffees from around the world with you all.
